South Texas Turkey Jinks finally Lifted
I was finally able to break the jinks that had come upon me down in south Texas with filling a turkey tag. I had several oppurtunities this past year, but never was able to make the shot count. After a couple of non-fatal hits on birds, this fella fianlly made my day. He was down in weight, but still was showing off a 10.5 inch beard and had 1 1/4 inch spurs. My brother (gun kill) took one that had 1 5/8 inch spurs, that was showing a 10+ beard.

http://imageshack.us/ Go to this site and use it to host your pic. Hit browse...find your pic on your PC click it and then click "host it". Copy the link it gives you to your pic by highlighting it and then right clicking your mouse and hitting "copy". Come back to here and reply with a new post. Hit "Img" then paste your link by right clicking and hitting "paste" then click the "Img*" to finalize. This should post your pic. You may have to resize it if it is too large.
Congrats on your bird.

Somebody shoot a turkey?
Those things are rare in some parts of the state.
Congrats on the bird.
Now when are the pigs going to get on your "to shoot list" :?:

Frontloader, very funny. Just because you make only one trip up and kill a real big bird, you want to make fun of me. I hear stories about your bird, but I have never seen anything about it. Let us see the results. I stopped shooting the pigs and letting the them grow in hopes of one day having a real hog contest.
