Well it was a blast as always when working with kids. I'm not sure how many pounds of pork total was donated to Hunters Harvest but it was alot! Here a few pics.
21,000 lb's of pork for Hunters Harvest. My hat is off to the hunters of the weekend. It was fun. I probably ran around more than I should have. I got to see a dog / snake training which was cool. I have a few more pics of the shooters..but their are a lot of repeats.
What a great time. Those are great pics. It was nice meeting some of the LSBA people. A big Thanks to Kevin (Bustedassranch) and his family for helping run the booth. They were there before we arrived and stayed until the end with us. What great support. Got to meet Tim Hicks and his family, and a big thanks to Tim for his big lungs and keeping our balloon box full of blown up balloons. The kids went through hundreds of balloons this weekend. Tim was very busy helping out in all parts of the Hog Expo, and even got down and dirty skinning hogs before he hit the road home. Just hope he changed his clothes before the ride home. We had an LSBA kids shoot off on each day, with Satuday broke up into two age groups, and then on Sunday, the girls shot against the girls, and the boys againsts the boys. They kids as well as the adults thought that was the greastest event there. Oh, did I mention that my little Hunter took first place each day in her class. We had several kids that had never shot a bow before, and heard alot of parents making the comments of what they will be getting the kids now. Just want to thanks everyone again for their help. Bob

It was a fun event!!! I'm glad that Cody with Wild Boar USA asked us to participate. I think that it is awesome that 21,000 pounds of pork was donated to Hunter's Harvest to help feed the hungry!
I would also like to thank Hunter's Needs (huntersneeds.com) for donating a hog target to us for our Youth Archery Ranch. I enjoyed visiting with Christy and am hoping we can all work together in the future.
The Polovina family was a joy to work with and everyone pitched in and did their part. We had Colton, Chelsea, Cricket, Ty and Hunter blowing up balloons, pulling arrows, picking up the balloon remnants from the floor. We signed up some new members and put the word out about our Outdoor Expo and Banquet coming up in June.

We went non-stop both Saturday and Sunday. We had shooters of all ages. We had kids shooting for the first time, skilled bowhunters and lots of in between. We had beginning archers that after mulitiple times shooting at the booth became quite good shooters. Hopefully, we have some new bowhunters out there!

We also got to meet Tim Hicks and his wife, Jennifer. It was great meeting y'all! His daughter, Lauren, is SO EXCITED about archery and shooting. She just giggles and cannot sit still when you talk to her about shooting a bow. She is smart as a whip too! Her little brother gave it a shot too. He just has to watch out when Dad is around! Poor little guy!
