Default First recurve kill!!

Hey everyone.. Sunday evening found me sitting in a treestand I hung in a Chinaberry tree close the the North feeder down on the river... I had corned the road under the tree in anticipation of stopping some hogs, or an Axis long enough to put an arrow through them.. Well, at about 6:30, a group of shoats come a running through the tall weeds between the road and the high fence.. They hit that corn like high powered vacuum cleaners... My readiness went to Defcon 4! Ok.. My mental checklist went into play... Get the camera in position... Check bow.. nock arrow.. turn camera on, then slowly stand for shot... Ooops, the wind swirls, and they are gone... Dadgummit! Just when I thought I was gonna be bringing home the bacon on a Sunday evening.....
Thirty minutes or so pass, and I hear that oh so familiar " urrrhhh urrhhh ".. Oh boy..Here they come.. Same steps as before, except this time the camera displays the following message.." Battery too low to record " What the bleeping what? Was my first thought, then I calmly accessed the situation.. It was then that I am glad I live by the "Five Ps plan" when it comes to hunting. You know? Proper Prepperation Prevents Poor Performance.... I had extra batteries in my back pack.. So, after a quick battery exchange, it was Game On time! Camera in positon? check.. Turn camera on..check... Bow and arrow ready?..check.. slowly stand and await target to reach kill zone... check.. Acquire target... check.. Pick a Spot and release arrow.. THWACK!!!! Pig Down!! Pig Down!!

That is great, I know all to much about low camera batteries. I hope one day to kill something with a Recure or long bow. Bob

Congrats again, AW.

Do you have a trad-bow yet, Bob?
