Camera mounts

Has anybody tried this mount? I'm still using one I bought at Wal Mart and it is poor at best.

I haven't used that particular one but a similar model that I can't remeber the name of ops:

Huntercamcradle is the ticket! James just bought the Pro model and I got a chance to play with it a little the past couple of weekends! It makes the Gorilla Arm and others look like kindergarten!

They're pricey - but very well made and easy to use.

I've got a Hunter Cradle Arm -- it's pretty nice and easy to set up as someone already mentioned, those puppies are pricey.

Also have couple of the telescoping 'mono pod' (forget their exact name) like the turkey spike mount. They worked real well and were very cheap -- unfortunately the manufacturer is out of business.

Check AmeriStep's new Video Camera Arm -- the Archer's Choice folks designed it. From what I hear they'll be selling for around $90 and will be worth every penny.

I'd like to hear from someone who has seen or used one of these. Just looking at the picture on their website, it looks a little flimsy - not all that much different than the Gorilla Arm. Anyone know anything about this or what kind of head it has on it? Would like to hear from you.

I have a Hunters Cradle Arm -- maybe I didn't indicate that in my first post. Use the heck out of it. It takes a while to get used to the pivot points and how to get the camera into position at first, but once you learn it, the operation is good.

I called Ameristep's customer service about their camera arm and they didn't have any in stock at their warehouse. Photos I've seen on line tend to make me think it's a bit more sturdy than the Gorilla or similar models. I've got two on back order and had hoped they'd arrive before I leave for New Brunswick next week. Looks like they'll be waiting for me when I get back.
