Default Ft Hood Hunting

A meeting at the Sportsmans Center with the garrison commander. They are looking for input to the hunting/fishing program.

I'm going to suggest adding Bowhunter Safety to the Hunter Safety program and adding more archery only areas.I know there are several on here that hunt or have hunted on post. This is a hunting resource available to EVERYONE.They are asking US what WE want. How often does that happen?A strong showing of bowhunters could make a differance.

Meeting went well despite a poor turnout.Coyote
hunting is now allowed on post.Several chnges (for the better) to the youth hunting/fishing program.More opportunities and reduced permit fees. The council is considering opening a couple areas up to bowhunting that had previously not open to hunting at all.
