String for recurve Bow

Thanks Losthawg i just shot him an email. I appreciate the tip. This is my first recurve so there is going to be alearning curve. I am pretty good with my Mathews Bow but I have always wanted to shot more traditional. Do you you shoot three fingers under or split? This bow came with a little platic arrow rest. Should I remove this and go with Bear hair or somthing? What about a bow stringer? Should I buy one of these. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks
