And they must also sign a release on most USACE Lands, This must be Hunter Ed, Not the Bowhunter Ed, b/c this course is not approved yet. Some units require a test for Archery Hunting as well.

Bobster the defferal permit was dropped by the State of Texas this year.

Yes Sir Bobster, I stand corrected, they can purchase a "Hunter Education Deferral" and be accompanied.

Accompanied means: By a person( resident or non-resident) who is at least 17, who is licensed to hunt in Texas, who has passed hunter education or is exempt ( Born before Sept. 2 1971) and you must be within normal voice control. Proof of certification or deferral is required to be on your person while hunting.

Some COE lands don't honor the exemption.
