In my opinion, I would shoot Muzzy Phantom 220 grains but that's traditional equipment.
For Compound, I would use 125 grain woodsmans if you can find them and keep them sharp.
I shot my recurve last year at a 150 lb pig and blew through him with a 220 grain phantom.
It just depends on what flies the best.

Those 220 muzzys are some mean heads. I haven't tried them on game yet, but my styrofoam block target does not stop the head.

I have shot hogs with every head imaginable, I sure love the t locs i have blown through some big hogs using them, i also like the magnus 2 blade 100 the muzzy 2 blade 100 and the rage here are some pics

They all obviously do the trick Howie. I am a die hard Rage fan until they malfunction. Here is the entrance hole that the Rage did on my doe a few days ago.

the rage is the only mechanical i would use on a hog, i know that spurs debate but i have lots of experience with not only testing but seeing tons of hogs shot with everything imaginable i trust the rage on anything i will ever shoot the only reson i dont shoot them all the time is the price i can get 6 mizzys for the price of 3 rages

This is a fact Howie. They are too pricey but it is hard for me not to fork up the cash.

And I would say Stay away from 2 blades when shooting 40 pounds!!
They don't fly as well as a 3-blade does. Same prob with 4-blades.

I have shot 40 pounds for many years and different b/h's (Muzzys & Montecs, which both I like) but by far the best b/h I've used is the one I'm using now - Grim Reapers (@ 50 pounds). They fly like field points and cut a huge hole! Got three deer down already this fall and I've only just started!
