Default shot myself to a nub

I leave in 5 days. I have been shooting two or three hundred arrows a day. My left shoulder is shot  . I'm so pumped about Africa I can't quit shooting. The more I shoot the poorer I shoot. I know better  I need to quit for 4 or 5 days and let my shoulder heal but how do I stop this close to a hunt. It is funny how a man can know better but have so little control over hisself :?

Don't sweat it Marty - It'll all come to you when it's crunch time! Good luck.

this afternoon was like watching a train wreak. I was so frustrated I could not even remember how to shoot my bow at all. I was so tired I almost couldn't get my bow to full draw. Then once I got it back I was sweating so bad I couldn't hold on to it. Total Melt down  . I went back out tonite and shot 12 arrows with a clear head. Pulled them all with one hand.

I think it was Chris, TradAg. You can blame him since he's so young... Or, Bullrdr! Now, there's a likely candidate. The young guys DO need to take responsibility for more things.

Aw, just blame 'em both.

I feel your pain brother!!!!
I had to force myself to put down the recurve because my elbow was killing me! Like you I started spraying arrows everywhere! I havent shot it in over a week now!
I broke my Bob Lee out a few months ago after not shooting it for a couple of years. When I planned my trip to Africa I thought how cool it would be to take it with me, so i started shooting. MAN!!! It sure is fun shooting traditional!!
I still have a few weeks to go so I will be picking her back up soon.
Good luck on safari and looking forward to the report!!

Now wait a second here Tracy.... I do not even shoot Trad!!!

I guess if someone has to be blamed, then I will take it!! You know me, always there to take one for the team.

Good luck in Africa Marty..... I know you will connect with something. Just remember when that gold medal animal walks out who your most favorite "Son-in-Law" is and keep that arrow in your quiver... I dont want to get blamed for anything else!!!
