2012 -2013 Lone Star Bowhunters Association

BIG BUCK CONTEST

Once again the LSBA is having it’s Big Buck Contest. The winner will have their choice of either a Jacket, Plaque, or Belt Buckle. I am still in the works of getting the design for the plaque, but it will have a picture of you and your deer on it, so make sure you take a good field photo for submission.

The rules of Fair Chase have changed. We no longer require an Escape Proof Fence to be a maximum of 640 acres. As long as it was Fair Chase, and not killed in a pen, we will allow the entries of all animals.

You still need to have your entry in two weeks prior to killing your trophy.
Entry Fee is still $25 payable to TBBR, or if you wish to enter online and pay with paypal, you can log into your paypal account and then send payment to paypal@lonestarbowhunter.com, and then email your entry information to tbbr.chairman@gmail.com

You can continue to use the old form and put the new year on it. The TBBR website is under construction so a new form will not be avaliable.

I posted it there last year, then it became a high fence low fence and no way will I compete with either. So, no I am not posting it over there. The LSBA does this for the fun of hunting.

Everyone has had plenty of time now to check you game cameras and have seen those huge bucks that are coming to your stand. Still time to enter the Big Buck Contest before you kill it.

Bobster, when do the 'score sheets' need to be sent for this year's Big Buck Contest? I messed up and sent Millie's deer to the taxidermist BEFORE having it scored. We'll have it back by month's end, though and hopefully there will still be time.

At this point I don't even think I could enter a big doe contest. I've been skunked so far this season.

Rick, you still have plenty time. Dead line for all entries into the TBBR or Big Buck Contest is March 15, 2013. Don't forget that she needs to have it entered into the TBBR also. The Contest rules say Feb. 15, 2013, but I am flexable out to March 15, I have to have time to put everything togehter.
