I will have a few bow lights for sale for you compound shooters who will be at the LSBA Brushy Hills hunt this weekend. I am donating one for the raffle also. See picture below of light on bow.
If interested, let me know so I can reserve one for you. Price for the hunt will be $35.00. After that, shipping and handling will be $5.00 more if I need to mail it out.
Does that put out enough light? Do you have a pressure switch so you can turn it on while at full draw? I may be interested in picking one up from you.
It uses a pressure switch. Press and hold to turn light on. Finger tip pressure. You can feel the click of the switch as it makes contact.
It uses 2 AA batteries. Plenty of white light out to 25 yards.
I wrap a piece of a blue Walmart bag around the head of the light to decrease the spotlight effect which can spook pigs. This makes a soft glowing light which is still adequate to silhouette the pig out to shooting distance in the dark.
If you want the light to be red, use a piece of red film to cover the lens. Blue is just easier to come up with.
A lighted sight pin is a big help if the pigs are black. Otherwise you will not see your pin against a black hog. White pigs are easy.
Let me know if there are any more questions.
We hope to be there before noon on Friday. Right now our ride is a white Ford F 350 crew cab. That is if we can fit 5 of us plus all our gear and stuff in the back as well as on a 10 foot trailer.
Tomme and Bob can point us out to anyone who needs to find us. Or look for the old white fuzzy face guy with the beer gut addition. No, that is not what Tomme looks like. :P
