Recieved in an email today for the Grayson County proposals and all the rest. Hope to see several of you there.

Folks,

Please click on the following link to an excellent article by local outdoors writer Lynn Burkhead in today's Herald Democrat regarding the pending Grayson County firearms season controversy:

Also, as a reminder, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, including Executive Director Carter Smith and several biologists and other high-ranking Department employees, will hold a public scoping meeting on
January 8, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the
Center for Workplace Learning on the main campus of
Grayson County College, on Highway 691 in Denison, Texas. Anyone interested in this issue, hunters and non-hunters alike, should make plans to attend this extremely important meeting.

In addition, you and your significant other, family and friends should be sure to express your opinion on this issue to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department via public comment at the following link:
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/business/feedback/public_comment/proposals/200901_scoping_deer_hunting_regulations.phtml Scroll down to
Item 11, check the box marked
Disagree Completely, and be sure also to make a comment in the box, no matter how short.
We need big numbers on this public comment website!

Please stay tuned for more over the next several weeks. January 8, 2009 will be here before we know it!
