Default 2005 3D State Championship

Any clubs interested in hosting the 2005 LSBA State Championship, bring your bids to Corpus and turn them in to Steve Davis.

You can call me or Janie at 361-571-5627 or 361-655-3207. Don't know why you are having a problem getting in touch with Steve though, anytime I call him in the evenings, he is usually home. But feel free to call myself or Janie.

Default 3 Tournaments in 2005?

Did I hear correctly when I was told that the LSBA will only be hosting 3 tournaments in 2005? Do we know when and where any of these are yet?

If y'all still need a place to hold a shoot, I'd suggest you call Andy or Preston at Camp Bullis 210-295-7529/7577 and discuss it with them. They've got top notch facilities and have a volunteer staff that can help with most of your needs.

For what it's worth, Camp Bullis hosts monthly shoots on the 4th weekend of each month, January - August.

Also when and where will the state shoot be held?

I'd like to see the State shoot in North Texas because I would like to watch one. But that probably won't happen...

I am going to chat with the Austin Archery Club guys and see what we can work out. What dates are you looking at? We have club shoots on the 3rd Sunday of every month, but I am sure we could accomodate just about any date.

Brazos County Archery Club would also love to host an LSBA tourney. We are just waiting for y'all to tell us when. But, better check our web site - we've got lots of stuff going on this year.

I am going to try and work this out with BigL on TBH. We are having to figure out who is going to do what this year and I think we have almost figured out the tournament coordinator this year. Bowwiz I think is going to run it with lots of help from us as members. I told him I would step up if he could not get it done but with lots of commitments I would rather back him up than take the lead. What date would the State shoot like to take place and 1 or 2 day shoot? Get me some details and I will make it happen.

OH, how does the bid thing work? I have never set up a shoot with an organization such as LSBA but look forward to it and hopefully will have ties to both org's. this year.

Sincerely,

Brian
