Got mine last night. Excellent work folks and kudos to the authors of the stories!

Got it today.
Sure wish somethings could be in color. ie, blood trails.
Gonna read the stories in the next few days. Set up looks good, just a little thin.
You are doing a good job Joey. Keep it up, you may get that job with TBM yet.

Thanks again guys. We appreciate the feedback.
Tracey, I hear you on the B&W pics. I knew they weren't going to be very good for that article but wanted to run the article. I have been thinking of ways to address that in the future and I think I will add an "editor's note" and direct folks to a thread here to see the pics in color? Might introduce a couple members to the internet forums along the way.
I have also been thinking that this type of thing would be a good way to present material that doesn't make it into the magazine. In the event that we have a surplus of well-written contributions with excellent photos and have to bump material, at least these stories would still be published online and shared with the membership. We haven't really hit that bridge yet but I like to plan BIG! 8)

Joey, I meant it when I said you're doing a good job. Have no doubt about that. I also went back and looked at the magazine again and noticed the print seems to be a bit smaller, which would explain the thinness. You got a lot of articles packed into those pages and they're some good reading too.
I think the B&W thing as been going for quite a while. Like when I did the article on bodark. Those pictures I sent in looked real good in color. The lack of color definitely made a difference in picture quality. Maybe y'all could discuss this at the next EC?
Seriously, keep up the good work.
Also, if you ever want me to proof read an article for spelling/grammar, feel free to email it my way. I wrote a lot of reports and citations in the Air Force. Even wrote a manual or two.

We need to find out what the deal is with the mailing. It seems like this happens every issue. The magazine should not be arriving over several weeks to different people....something is wrong in the process.

Sorry about the "e" again, Tracy. Thanks for the offer to help, why don't you send in some more articles? That would be a big help. E-mail me, we can put our heads together and come up with some good subject matter.
Me either, Roger. The pony has never made it to Rowlett...maybe tomorrow...
I agree, Mark. I assumed it had always been this way because of the bulk postage rate we use. Has it not?

The lag in the mailing "is" due to the bulk mailing procedures. It has always been like this it seems with certain areas receiveing it timely and other areas always a week or two behind. Maybe due to that particular sorting facility having more bowhunters who keep the mags in the break room enjoying it for a week before grudgingly sending them along :?:
Maybe Joey and Roger need to make the cover ugly, instead of the great photos/printing they have been using, so that they wont be tempted to hang on to the mag anymore 8)

Bulk mail is always handled as space available...the postage costs to change this would be unreal....just handle the patience and stop the "book fever" ha ha you probably can deal with the Buck fever, now book fever....

I know Mike, we could put Tomme's or Hogslayer's, avatar on the cover. Or both. That'd fix 'em.

Don't have mine yet either. Might have to email someone to send me an extra and find out if my name got bumped off the mailing list.
