camoclaw X: Hey everybody ! has anyone had any experience with the public hunting program that the state has?I'm considering looking into that for next season,but I really dont know anything about it

LSBA's President, Bob Wright, wrote a very informative article on public hunting opportunities in Texas. I will see if I can find it and get a copy of it to you.

I think it is awesome I have been hunting the Sam Houston National Forest lately. Seen some deer nothing monstrous. I think if you do your homework you can make it happen on public land.(scouting/feeding areas/etc)

I hunt on core land where it Bow only and i see lot of Deer

You seeing any hogs there too? I am looking for a place pretty close to home to hunt some pigs after deer season.
