Default TBOT at Saltgrass

I was fortunate enough today to get to attend the shoot at Saltgrass Archery, even tho I am not a trad shooter I met a lot of folks today that are. I watched in amazement at the accuracy displayed by all of the shooters and even got to test my skills with the "pass around bow"(? hope terminology is correct) and learned that my compound is in a different world from a traditional bow. Anyway, I really enjoyed the comraderie and am now considering looking into traditional archery.

I look forward to meeting all of you folks again, oh ya, it was also my first face to face meeting with fellow LSBA members

It was very nice meeting you as well. Your "pass around bow" is correct my friend. I'm proud that you shot her, I'm even more proud that she may have struck and interest in traditional archery in you.

Saltgrass, TBOT and LSBA all seem to be pretty tight knit groups that mingle well. A membership in any or all will never be second guessed by the member. Thanks for stopping by and visiting with us all.

drfrizz, it was a pleasure meeting you. Trad shooting is a lot of fun, but I still drag out my compound when it comes to hunting. (if you saw my score, you know why) One of these days I will think I am good enough to hunt a animal with the stick n string.

Like BenU mentioned, TBOT and LSBA are both a great organization to belong to. Each continue to fight for the bowhunters rights in Texas, and continue to introduce new folks into archery.

We hope to see everyone again at Saltgrass at LSBA State Shoot on August 23.

See You There.

Bob

drfrizz, it was a pleasure meeting you at the shoot! Glad to hear Sacagawea (the pass around bow) sparked an interest in traditional archery for you. It is a blast.

Hope to see you out at the LSBA State Shoot on August 23rd, 2015!!

Yes, I plan on being there on the 23rd, I have to try to redeem myself for shooting so poorly Sunday. I will probly wait till winter before trying to take up traditional shooting, don't wanna overload my poor brain this close to October.

Hey one of the girls that shoot with us in our Tuesday nite league found a couple of trad arrows with red white & blue fletching at the field range at Saltgrass on Monday, if anyone knows who they belong to let me know, I have them in my possession.
