Default Smokepoles??????

Any of you folks play with blackpower?

I have over the years but really only with percussion/caplocks and now I'm thinking about going to a flintlock. Really looking for a place in the Houston area that carries blackpowder guns and equipment. Carter's Country has some, but I sure miss Rebel Arms. Is there any other place around Houston like Rebel Arms?

Thanks
Derek

years ago I was eat up with Blackpowder ... they are a blast. The flintlocks are tuff to shoot well but fun to play with. My daughter in law loves them. She shot this Buck last weekend with one.

I haven't ever shot one. Thought about it but never really got into it.

Used to shoot a lot of them. Haven't in a while. It got harded and harder to find powder. I never liked the pyrodex and all the other stuff. And some states do not allow the pellet forms to hunt with. Have fun!

Thanks everyone for the comments. Smokepoles are almost as fun to hunt as bows but I really like shooting them. As it turns out I just happen to know a guy up in Lufkin that custom builds these guns. I've know him for years and never knew he was building the guns he was shooting and they are some really nice weapons. So it looks like I'm going to get him to build one for me that looks something like this one.

I have 7 blackpowder guns. Its turning into an expensive addiction. I just love to see all the smoke! I mainly just shoot paper with them. They are extremely fun to shoot and tinker with.
