Default Huntin with your kids

As the season ends i take stock in what we have learned as a family and the accomplishments of the past season..........and as i gaze back this past year i realize my kids are the only one shooting! We hunted this year NOT enough as we would like BUt we hunted. And i can not think of a time that was not more special to me than when my 11 year old connected with his first ever buck and to boot it was with his mom. He took his first buck at first point bowhunting, the palmers are so freindly to the youth of this sport and a deer there is a job well done.
my new found love this year id "bunny hunting"....laugh if you want but you go chase some 1-3 pound rabbits/jack rabbits thru the roads of south and west texas. I think our record for one walk was 5 rabbits and the coveted jack rabbit. But not just that you are walking down a road talking to your kids...in our world now those times are few and far between. Bunnies aside, first buck aside, and hunting with your entire family...200 plus days and counting till season opens again
