Default Cades "Crook"!

Well, we spotted this buck with the distinct hook off of his left beam about 2 months ago on our trail cameras that we had up to monitor activity at our newly acquired property, where we are building nw house. We named him "Crook" for the crooked hook off of the beam and set up camera down closer to the timber, where we suspected they were bedding.

He has been a regular on camera but only in the past week, started showing last minute evening appearances. After two missed opportunities because of low light sightings, while in our pop up blind on opening weekend,we let it lay for the next three days because of the hotter weather. After thursday nights' storms and into friday morning late,i knew this would be a prime opportunity, with the cold front dropping temps significally!
The deer were on the move early and 30 mins before fading light, ole' "Crook" made his earliest showing of the year & Cade took full advantage of it,with a perfectly placed arrow, tucked in tightly behind his front shoulder as he was broadside to us! After the nerve filled celebrations and big bear hugs,He finally got to wrap his hands around the newest addition ,on the new property, for the new living room & his biggest buck to date, He sealed the deal perfectly and respectfully on ole' "Crook"! It is also fitting that this took placeright before his 13th birthday, that is tomorrow!
I am so proud of you son and love you more than anything!
