We made it! I would like to THANK the following volunteers: Brad Adams, Dena Kana, Barb and all that assisted!!!!!! Without your help, smiles would not have been created. Everyone worked hard to make this a great event for all the kids.

We had a good turnout and I think the kids 3D was the highlight of the event, beside Nick "Mundt" and Travis "Tbone"

I will be posting the winners names and pictures later this evening.

Seaven would also like to say thanks for putting up with her over the weekend.

Did I mention I have pics of Nick and Travis as well?

I would like to second the It was non stop action at our booth!! I would like to thank BRAD ADAMS, who I kinda threw under the bus to handle this event because I had been really ill and not planning on attending until I realized we did not have enough volunteers. Brad did an outstanding job!! BIG THANK YOU, Brad! Many thanks also goes out to Jo Nunez, Barbara Duncan and the other two volunteers who did a tremendous job helping out at our booth. We certainly could not have hosted this event without your help! You gals ROCK!!

The LSBA Youth 3-D Archery Challenge turned out to be the high-light of the event. Tim Williams did a great job putting the Expo part of the event together. We ended up having 43 shooters and gave each 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category a $250 scholarship plus other prizes. We had some good shooters out there! I also would like to acknowledge this shooting group as some very polite and respectful youth. Most of the shooters came up and thanked the LSBA for hosting the shoot and spending our time out there. That was a pleasant surprise!! Hopefully, their participation and success in this event will help toward their education expenses in the future.

As Jo said, The Bone Collectors, Travis "T-Bone" and Nick Mundt stopped by the booth as well and spent quality time with the kiddos and adults alike. They were very genuine, down to earth and just all around great guys. They took their time signing autographs and taking pictures with all the kiddos that shot and even became members of the Lone Star Bowhunters Association! My hats are off to these guys and they have certainly earned my respect not only for their accomplishments in the field, but for the motivation, encouragement shown to the youth and the time that they took to hug or shake each individual child's hand, sign their bows or other items and with whom to they took pictures. These guys were beyond awesome!!! They even took time to sign an LSBA cap and visor to be raffled off at our Banquet. Thanks Travis & Nick!! Hopefully, Jo will be posting some pics!!

The Waller County 4-H participated at this event and did a really great job. They had several shooters that won prizes and they were an all around good group of kiddos. I would like to thank their coach, Todd, for donating several dozen Genesis arrows to the LSBA, which they could not utilize with their bows. It will be a tremendous help to our Youth Archery Program!!

I would also like to thank Southern National Archery Festival and McKenzie Targets for donating several targets and stands to the LSBA's Youth Archery Program. It is very helpful for us to receive these supplies for our Youth Program.

I encourage LSBA members & other bowhunters to donate a couple of hours to events like this! It will make all the difference in the world to a child participating in such an event! It will also help volunteers to stay on schedule and be able to better organize. We were up to after 10:00 p.m contacting finalists and finally got to each thereafter and we were up first thing organizing prizes and organizing different aspects of the shoot. Sometimes one or two people can make a big difference! I appreciate the parents' patience with us.
