Default Big Oaks youth hunt pictures

WOW
You talk about a great hunt, we had one. We had a great group of kids and dads. And well what can I say about Buff, WOW what a great guy he is for putting this hunt on. Don't get much better than Marty and Lisa and there Big Oaks Ranch. Oh and I'm a pretty good gate boy also.
We got three animals killed and had one miss ( hi Zack ).
The hunters were Ben, Jared, Zack and Jason.

This was one of the best hunts I've ever been on and I wasn't even hunting. My son had a blast. We saw so many critters it wasn't even funny. From trophy Fallow, Axis and Sitka deer, rams it was amazing. We saw animals on every sit. A very big thanks again to Marty for putting this hunt on. My son was able to take his very first animal period and did it with a bow!! An awesome thanks also to Ronnie, heck of a gate boy and incredible blood tracker. Thanks again guys, can't wait until the next hunt.

Ronny, Marty it was awesome; we saw a lot of great animals Ben did not get a shot at one but he had a time of his life. Yesterday he could have taken a small sika or a large one but the large one was not at right angle so I called him off, then a huge Fallow buck came in and scared them away. Today in all of the wind had some fallow does come up behind us but they were on a run sure was hoping they would come around front. A momma axis doe and her fawn came in and he could have taken her. But he passed on the momma so it was fun just watching and listening to them bleep at each other.
Ben had a blast was able to shoot a recurve and now wants one. Thanks Ronny and Michael (He is pretty good with it)

Thanks again to the LSBA for holding up there support for young bow hunters, and to Ronny for always being willing to go if someone offers to put a youth hunt on...

Now let me say this, Big oaks bow hunting ranch, owned and operated by the famous Buff, will no doubt in my mind become one of the premiere bow hunting destinations for exotics in Texas in a very short time.. This place has it all, and is beautiful... Thank you so much Marty for being so generous to the kiddos. Zach had a wonderful time, and we saw lots and lots of great critters. Zach did not take an animal but it was not due to lack of opportunity. By the way Marty I still feel bad about Zach shooting your stand... That is another story all together.

Marty worked his tail off to try and make sure every kid had a chance at an animal, he sat around and told stories during the day, that were very entertaining, and as if he had not given enough he took us all out for dinner Friday night. In my assumption Marty is a generous man that is truly dedicated to kiddos and the future of bow hunting....

Marty, although I had met you a few times at banquets I had never sat down and got to know you. I thank you again for all you did this weekend and all you do for the LSBA and the bow hunting sport. I believe you are a genuinely good o country boy, even if you did turn out to be the rude cripple that I tried to help in the Tractor supply parking lot in Brady...

I have to say thank you again, Jared still smiles ear to ear anytime we mention bowhunting. Definately made a great impression on him. Look forward to many more BOW hunts with my son, thank you Marty and Ronnie.

Since Ben is now 17 and no longer a youth his sister said she wants to go next year. She loved hearing all of the stories and reading all of the post so she told me I have to put her name in for the draw next year. I am adding a couple of pictures of Nicole and her custom arrows. I wonder what one of Buff’s exotics will look like with one of those purple arrows ran through it. Right now she is only pulling 25 lbs but I told her she needs to keep practicing and get her DW up. So she is out in the backyard every day practicing.
