Default Wet Weather Bowhunting in Northeast Texas

To say we have had alot of rain is an understatement. Our lease has been flooded so much that all of our stand sites have been under water. Our cabin is on one of the highest points and the water as I write is backed up to the back of our cabin. So, the few days we have been able to hunt I have tried to hunt as much as possible. Here in Northeast Texas is some pretty tough hunting. During October we are dealing with an abundance of acorns and usually not much deer movement. I am also hunting some very thick cover. With all the high water it may have helped wash away some acorns. This is the first year that I have been able to take my two does during archery season.

This year I changed from using a 100 grain 3 blade muzzy broadhead to a 4 blade muzzy broadhead. I have been pleased with the 4 blade broadhead. The entry and exit holes are big.

I know what you mean about the rain Ricky. I wish we could have gotten it back in Feb to June. Congrats on your two doe. Bob
