I heard on TV that they analyzed the tar balls found on the Texas coast (wherever they were), and it is definitely not from the Deep Horizons well. They figured it's from another leak somewhere, or it's just natural seepage underwater somewhere.
Fortunately, the ones on Galveston County Beaches were not from the Deep Horizon spill. Unfortunately, the ones found on McFaddin Beach in Jefferson County were. We were out in the Gulf and Bay today and didn't see anything that looked oil related. I hope it stays that way, but I'm sure we will see it sooner or later.
I am just sickened by the spill. No telling how long it will take the ecosystem to recover from the damage.
