Cabelas had their annual Kids Fest at their store in Ft. Worth this past Saturday. There were a lot of activities intended to get kids interested in the outdoors. The LSBA hosted the youth archery range.

Thanks to all the volunteers that came out to help kids safely fling a few arrows at 3D targets and balloons. We used the indoor range inside the air conditioned Cabelas store. This doesn't happen that often but it is most appreciated when it does! It was 100 degrees outside when I was driving home after the shoot.

We had an excellent turnout of kids and were busy the whole day. We were rewarded with lots of smiles and happy faces. Everyone loves to shoot a bow!

Thanks to Jim Wilhelm and Alan Grayson of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for helping out. Thank you to Bowhunter Ed Instructors Steven Blake, Luke Leissner, and Roger Pippin. Bill James of the LSBA EC was there and thanks to Scott once again for his help. I hope I didn’t miss thanking anyone.
