The Prez Goes Old School!
After I took my biggest ever whitetail buck last year with my BowTech I decided I would step back in time and hunt with traditional equipment this year like I did unsuccessfully when I started bowhunting 30 plus years ago. I bought a recurve from Rob Lee last February and the work began. It has been interesting to say the least. I have been humbled, frustrated, and elated. It all paid off this weekend. I finally took a nice 5 1/2 year old 9 pt. buck at 6 yds. I had heard him making a scrape and rub and managed to call him in with a grunt. He's not Pope and Young but he is a trophy to me. Trad has truly brought the challenge of bowhunting back to reality to me.
