Just FYI~This was the discussion by TPWD Commission at their November, 2013 meeting. As far as I know, there has not been a formal proposal yet. I did not find were it was discussed at the January meeting. Please notice that not only are they talking about not allowing bowfishing for Alligator Gar during the spawn, they are talking about not allowing bowfishing for Alligator Gar at all. Now is the time for us to contact TPWD and get involved on these talks and discussions if we want to continue to have the opportunity to bowfish for Alligator Gar. Marc h 26-27 are the dates for the next Commission Workshop and Meeting. I am in contact with the Texas Bowfishing Association and will post when I have more updated info. I should know something by the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

I am gonna have to do this in a couple of posts to fit everything in because it exceeds the number of characters.
