This is a great opportunity for kids  16 and younger to have a wonderful experience bowhunting for Texas’ most  coveted trophies. The bag limit for each hunter is an 8 point buck, a bearded turkey, one javelina,  unlimited hogs and other varmints. All Texas Parks & Wildlife  Rules and Regulations apply.
 
There are 9 spots available for this  hunt. The hunt is FREE of charge and includes lodging. Child and  parent must be a current member of the LSBA throughout the entire entry  process and at the time of the hunt. 
 
Hunters for the 9 spots will be  selected through a drawing. There are five (5) different ways that a  child can earn a ticket for the drawing. There can be up to five (5)  tickets per person. 
 
Tickets can be earned by the  following:
 
1. Complete the Hunters Education  Course 
2. Complete the International  Bowhunter Education Program Course
(A child must be 9 to be certified by the Hunters Ed  and 12 through the IBEP course, however, the requirement for the hunt is  that the course be completed.)

3. Write a 500 word essay on the  topic “Why I started Bowhunting”
4. Video Essay (Shooting  Proficiency, etc.)
5. Win any 3-D Tournament
 
Deadline: All entries including hunter’s name,  parents’ name, address, phone number and email address, along with  supporting documentation must be RECEIVED at the following  address by May 31, 2010. Winners will be announced at the LSBA’s 2010 Outdoor Expo and Banquet in South Fork Ranch in Dallas, Texas, on June 12, 2010. It would be  appreciated if entrants be in attendance at the Banquet, but is not a  requirement.
