We shot this old giraffe bull over the weekend. The client was Ruan Smit he got a complete follow through on the giraffe at 30 yards using:
Elite bow 70pounds 125gr Razorback Broadheads Black Mamba Shafts |
Wow, that a lot of giraffe there. Congrats to Ruan. Thanks for sharing.

I bet that would make one heck of a neck roast! :D

Yeah that's a big peace of meat.Just for interest sake that bull slaughtered out 1892 lbs that means stomach out, legs off, skin off, head off, just the meat and bone. We are having some giraffe tail tomorrow night.

WOW!!! 1800# of meat! Think about the barbeque we could have! Giraffe tail? Do yall cook it like ox tails? What do you serve with giraffe tail? How does giraffe compare in taste, say, to a kudu or eland? |
that is a lot of meat
congrats |
The preparation was awesome and it had a great taste but it is as tough as bubblegum. Giraffe "biltong" "jerky" is good.Giraffe tail we cooked in the slow cooker for two days before it was soft enough to eat!!! We are going for the next Giraffe this weekend.
