Hawg down!
Just got home from my lease in Sheridan. Took off this morning about 4am to be in the stand by 6 o'clock. This hog came in about 6:30. I never heard him coming. He appeared out of the dark like a ninja! He rooted around the feeder for about 15 minutes until a screech owl started screaming! OMG scared the crap out of me! Scared the pig too! He ran off. Maybe 5 minutes later, the feeder went off. Here he comes. All right show time baby! It took him about another 10 minutes before I got a good quartering away shot. Finally he turns and I sent the meat whacker on its way. Slick Trick strikes again. He ran 50-60 yards before piling up. Looks like boudain stuffed pork loin is on the menu tonight!
