Dove Hunting
I went yesterday with my trusty palmer recurve and a judo point,,,,shot 4 times killed 2 doves and didn't even loose an arrow!! That was a good feeling. I hope to repeat with more birds very soon.

You are the man Ric, congrats on the birds.

Ric, that is great, we have a entry in TBBR for migratory game birds along with upland game birds to include quail and pheasant. Contact Ron for more info on it and a score sheet so when you get your next one. Congrats, I am hoping to try some birds this year with my recurve. Bob

where are the doves
No doves latley...i think i have been shooting just right under them......not that i have been missing aloth hahahahahah. When u start thinking about it they are probably like deer BUT instead of ducking the arrow they are going up(words of advice). Just a thought! Thanks for the tip with the TBBR.
We should talk about a bird hunt(big birds) pheasant or maybe geeseduring conservation season(you know thats a good idea, wonder if there is something out there for that maybe we could somehow get LSBA involved........BOBSTER you live on the coast you in?? |
Ric, sounds like a great idea. Only thing is down here by the time the conservation season hits, the geese are gone from my area. The LSBA is talking about a pheasant hunt right now, but nothing has been set in stone yet. Bob
