Hot to be huntin'.........but it has to be better than sitting around the house.

Well it was hot.
But I got to watch a lot of wildlife!
The view out two sides of my blind!
Had a family of Ducks on the pond!
Some quail and deer came to look things over!
Sat until after dark because I have a hoglight on my feeder and the feeder goes off again at 10:00. But about 9:20 my stomach starts talking and Chapala Mexican food resturant was talking to me. So out I slipped with no pigs around! Will try in the morning!!

Sunday morning the alarm goes off and I thought why am I getting up this early for Hogs. But I thought well at least it will be a little cooler so off I go! Got to the blind with nothing but deer. About 7:30 I decide to give it up. I start to pack up and take one last look at the feeder and there was a young boar! (doesn't that always happen that way). Took aim and WHAP!! Good hit and the pig takes a big circle and falls in sight about 22.5 yrds away. Why 22.5 yrds because I start to pack up again and just after 4 minutes later a coyote shows up at the smell of the blood and start nosing my pig. I range him at 22.5 yrds and WHAP#2! Good hit but he was quarting hard to me. Well I called my friend to come get me and started to climb down and more pigs showed up but before they got in range my friend showed up! It was a quick hunt but was fun.
