Just thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is John Flores. I started shooting a bow in 1992. I usually shoot targets in the backyard. I've been bowhunting only a handful of times and have yet to take any game with a bow. I have two sons (8 & 9) who are now getting interested in shooting and hunting with a bow, just from watching me shoot targets. I joined LSBA in August of this year at Bass Pro Shops in Pearland when they were there. My youngest son shot a bow for the first time at the wild boar hunting expo, when LSBA was there. And then he shot for the second time at the hunting show in houston this year, again with LSBA. So I figured it was time for me to join, since they were helping me get my sons aquainted with shooting a bow.

Welcome aboard John. I'm a Pearland resident as well. Glad to have you supporting LSBA and getting the kids involved at an early age. We have quite a few youth shoots in the area and look forward to seeing you there.

Welcome also John, glad to have you on the site and a member of LSBA. I am one of your Region Reps. located in Santa Fe. If we can help you or your sons with anything just ask. Keep them little ones shooting. Bob

Definitely plan for Brushy Hills. I intend to take at least my 12 (will be 13) y/o to it for his first "big game" bowhunt, maybe my 16 y/o. I've got a daughter that's 9 and we'll be working on her in the years to come. My two youngest started shooting as soon as they could draw a string. My oldest started when he was about 5. Some take to it, others don't. Either way, they'll always appreciate the time outdoors with you. ;)

Archery is a lot of fun that the whole family can enjoy. It is great to have you and welcome. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...hawg/BRAVO.gif
