Lone Star Bowhunters Association - LSBA Youth Archery Range~Bownanza--03/08/14

I am so excited that this year the Lone Star Bowhunters Association will be setting up the Youth Archery Range at Bownanza in College Station! We will have 3-D targets and Genesis, Mini-Genesis, Recurves and Longbows for the kids to shoot. I am also going to have wildlife coloring and hopefully, some other things for the kids to do, if we have enough volunteers.

Location: Veterans Park and Athletic Complex.

We may be able to do a couple of contests, etc. We will see what the day brings. I am going to help Bob Wright and Team Name Tag until about 9:30 and then set up the Youth Archery Range from about 10 until 2 or so.

Right now, we have Bill James (recar), Joey Reynolds, Hunter and myself. I sure would like to have some other volunteers!! If you are interested in joining Team LSBA Youth Archery Range, please let me know!!

The kids will be able to shoot 5 arrows at a time with a LSBA volunteer. They can shoot as many times as they would like. I realize that we are all bowhunters and can shoot, but please note that parents cannot assist their children shooting unless they are volunteering for the LSBA. This is an insurance coverage issue, so just wanting to let you know ahead of time so as not to offend anyone. You can help your kids color all day long!! :D Also, LSBA bows have to be shot at the targets, so please do not ask to shoot your own. I hate all the rules, etc., but it is a safety/insurance issue. I hope you understand. I have had "shooters" from 6 months on up shoot, so please don't feel like they are too young. We will be more than happy to assist any age. It is not just for children, so if your wife or husband want to shoot, we can help with that as well!!
