Great lookin' hog Curtis!

Good luck to all who make it to the woods this season.

Congratulations to you both. I haven't had a chance to go yet. Probably the latest non-hunt special archery season ever for me.

But end of next week it's Nebraska. If you've seen the other thread by rns, I think we'll title this one "Three and a half hunters" or Maybe "Three Texas Hunters and a Clumsy Old Cripple."

Note no insults intended to anyone but rns, but definitely there.

Congrats to the successful hunters and high hopes for the rest of us.

I made a great shot on this little tree the other night.

The tree had completely disappeared in the shadows and when I took a shot at nice sized boar I buried a Landshark into it...gotta get some Lumenocks.

Well I guess I got sorta lucky again. I was headed to my lease in Eden, TX and burned out my transmission near Brady. I limped the truck into the local Chevy place and dropped it off. That bill will be $2500. My buddies made the detour and picked me up. We hunted Friday evening and scored a cull buck and a doe. Saturday came and went without anyone scoring. Sunday morning we took another cull buck and then Sunday evening was my turn. I took this cull 6 pt. Kinda took the sting of the truck away for a little while. Well I'm buck tagged out in Concho County now. Time to start takin the does.

Nice shot on that tree. You gotta watch out for those suckers. They will jump right out in front of ya sometimes.

That's OK.

I missed yesterday on a hog about about 10 yards with my bow while I was stalking thru some rather tall weeds. My arrow got burried in the sandy soil and took me an hour to find it.

I am having a great season so far. I have two deer at the butchers right now.

I hope to get a couple more before the season ends. That will be plenty of meat for my family.
