Default Rusty Brother of Brushy Hill Ranch Passed Away

My BEST friend & brother by another mother, Rusty Brothers, passed away in the early hours of this morning.- victim of a freak motorcycle accident only 200 yards from the safety of the ranch. Anyone who has hunted at Brushy Hill Ranch in the last 7-8 years will remember him and mourn his passing. He was a great friend to the LSBA and I know that there will be a lot of LSBA members who will be shocked and saddened to hear of Rusty's untimely and tragic death.

We will be making funeral/memorial plans over the coming days and I will post them here. For all that want to attend.

I ask you to say a prayer for him and wish him well on his journey to the "happy hunting grounds" (filled with big deer and giant hogs), which isteuly his idea of heaven! I know he's there now!

I love you brother!

Nick

Wow.

It'll sure be different not seeing him come driving up with that dog...

My condolences to family and friends.

I only just met Rusty at the '08 G&G. He seemed like a great guy that enjoyed life.

Don't worry about Bausco- he'll still be there for every G&G- Rusty made me promise to take him and I won't miss any G&G hunts at Brushy Hill. Rusty would want me to keep joking around with the likes of the Strickland boys, Brad, Tomme, etc.!!!

It looks like we'll be doing the funeral and spreading of his ashes in Hog Heaven pasture on Thursday if anyone wants to attend. We'll be ironing out the specifics today and this evening. Everyone is invited. If you want information, please call me: 512-587-8651

I know how much he cared for all of you and he knew y'all cared deeply for him.

The services will be at the barn at 7pm and then we're going to go spread his ashes on the knob so that he'll always be here at the ranch looking for us and the animals and land he loved so much. His dad and two sisters are here and that's what they wanted too. Then were going to have a get together in Rusty's honor at the barn with food, memories and some of the cold beer he loved so much.

ANYONE that wants to come is welcome and Rusty would sure love for you to be here; but if it's too far for people to come, KNOW that Rusty surely understands.

Nick
