Default TPWD Youth Weekend

On Saturday morning, I hope that my "special guests" have an opportunity to partake in the sport and camaraderie that the outdoors has to offer. I would like to encourage everyone to take a child hunting. Please take the time to pass on the passion.

Good luck to all the youth this weekend!

Special Thanks to all the LSBA Youth Hunt Sponsors for providing our kids with memories that will last a lifetime.

My kids and I will be heading out to Sam Houston National forest. Some much needed time with them camping and walking the woods. Good luck.

Looking forward to hearing the reports for the weekend. Please post up LDP's if the kiddos have any luck.

Maybe we will have some live threads from the field.

I know your guests will enjoy sharing the sport and camaraderie which the outdoors has to offer with our "special hosts" and very much appreciate the the invite for Youth Weekend. Hunter is so excited! Sounds like there is gonna be a cabin full of kids who will be sharing the outdoors and some fun Halloween activities too! Hurry up Friday!!

Good luck to everyone!! I hope to see some pics of the kiddos and their trophies! Of course, a hunt's sucess is not dependent on the releasing of an arrow or the firing of the bullet, but the time we spend in the field with family and friends.

Leaving for the deer lease shortly to prep for the arrival of my special guests. Firing up the pit tomorrow and will load three slabs of ribs, two stuffed porkloins, deer rolls, and deer sausage. Oh, I can not forget the hot dogs. Smores and cake will finish off the menu for tomorrow.

Back from a fun and rewarding weekend with my special guest Nathan and Hunter. Our youth hunters had no luck harvesting a deer or turkey;however, I think they enjoyed the outdoors. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to take any pictures of them shooting their marshmellow bows or them smashing the pumkin pinata.

I really enjoyed spending time with the kids. Hearing the stories of them seeing animals in the distance or Nathan telling me about him seeing two young spikes spar was priceless. They were real troopers and they got up early for both morning hunts.

I hope Nathan and Hunter have another opportunity to join me another weekend this season.

Only pic from the field:

Nate anxiously awaiting the arrival of a turkey.

Any reports form our other youth in the field?
