Default LSBA / Bass Pro Shop Kids shoot

The Kids shoot at Bass Pro in Katy was a Big success. I would estimate over 200 kids had a chance to shoot and I lost count of how many parents asked about where they could buy a bow. As you might imagine it was not cold. Dena and Lisa are real troopers and held up well to a solid 5 hours as it never seemed to slack up. This is the main reason I became active with the LSBA and conceder it a privilege to be able to participate. Thanks to every one who talked me into getting involved. We really need to get behind these Kids shoots and If you have not been involved with one yet Please give it a try.

That's what it's all about! Thanks for representing the LSBA y'all...and sharing the pics, Marty.

Ya'll did a GREAT JOB, thanks for helping out Mr. and Mrs. BUFF. That leg pics with the arrow looks pretty scary , where have I seen that before? Like BUFF has said, make some of the events and help out, it is alot of fun. There will be another kid shoot coming up July 21 & 22. Could really use some help on that one, that way no one has to stay out side for more than one hour at a time. If enough help is there, three people per hour and rotating off so that everyone can have a rest. Thanks again for those that volunter there time for the kids, and to the BUFF family for driving all the way down to BPS. Bob

Default Pat on the Back

You all deserve a pat on the back. It was a very warm day. I had no clue that this was going on and just happen to be at the Bass Pro Shop on Saturday and noticed the canopy and LSBA banner. The LSBA membership should be proud of your efforts. Buff made the 4 1/2 drive from Hallsville to share his time, that's dedication.

Thanks to all for your dedication and representation.

I would really like to thank Buff and Lisa for driving all the way down to help with the youth shoot! Your dedication to LSBA and the kids' shoots is commendable.

Did Buff mention it was HOT??? Buff worked pretty much non-stop with the kiddos! There was a steady stream of kids all day and lots of parents asking where to buy the Genesis bows. We passed out Honorary Game Warden badges and TPWD coloring books to the kids. We had a group of Boy Scouts that shot and shot and shot at a green balloon and could not hit it. Finally, Lisa had to step up and show them how to do it---in one shot! I had a BLAST working with Buff and Lisa and hope we can do it again sometime soon!

Pick A Spot--It was nice meeting you! Next time bring a chair and stay longer! We can always use another helper!

Like Bobster said, we can really use some volunteers for July 21st & 22nd! If you are interested in volunteering for a couple of hours, please contact me.

Leg painting at BPS??? Whodathunkit!

Okay, I kinda figured that, but hoped it was D/FW. Just too far out of the way. Gonna try to make Austin on opening day though. Wish me luck...
