I just finished putting this together for a fundraiser. This is my first attempt at a Clock, what do y'all think.

Nice work! Somebody will be proud to get that! Is that a wooden plate?

Yes it is a wooden plate. It just seemed to be just the right size for what I had planned.

That is very nice, did you make the arrowheads on it, and how do I win it? Bob

Haven't started knapping, but it is one thing on a long list that I want to learn to do. I order the heads, they are craft quality heads that look really nice on projects liket this. It will be up for auction in Feburary, I think the 20th, but I'll get the details.

Don't want to hijack the thread but the thought occured to me it would be kinda neat to have a "DIY/Hobbies/Crafts" forum on here where we can show pics of our latest projects and maybe arrange swaps. Like maybe Derek swaps me a half dozen of the good arrows he makes for some of my leatherwork or snakeskin stuff. (I'm in the design phase of a hand tooled armguard). I've seen others mention their hobbies and crafts on here. Just a thought. Sorry, Derek.

Ray that's a great idea about a crafts/hobbies board!!!!

You come up with a good back quiver and a swap for a dozen arrows will be in the works......

Sounds good. If you can find a pic of something similar to what you want, email it to me. I am going to send you some pics of quivers I just found.....some are primitive, some fancy. I have never made a quiver but know the basics to make one. My first venture, I'd feel better crafting the more primitive type. I am going to drop by the Tandy store in Austin next week and talk to the guy. They don't have a kit for a quiver but may have plans, patterns, etc. We'll work on it!

Awesome, I like primitive or medieval style. That is part the reason I like making my medieval style arrows.

Ahhhhh...medieval. I saw some interesting stuff last night from the UK. I can see now why you chose #3 on the email pics. I kept trying to fancy it up! lol

I was going to mention that this morning, but something derailed my attention. Thanks Brad for bringing it up and for Bountyhunter to consider it. Derek, I do not want to beat you to death on your donation, but a dozen arrows would be great also. OH, and all donations are tax deductible. I will get you a reciept for any donations made. Bob

I'm sure a dozen arrows are also very doable. Can we do it on like a gift certificate or something like that? The reason I ask is that way who ever buys them could then give me their draw weight and length so I build them the right shafts. They can also pick thier choice of feather styles and colors.

Not sure yet if we are going to be able to make it to the Banquet but I'm hoping we can. I was really considering getting a vendor booth to display some of my arrows and take orders. If I can't make it, then I'll get some examples of my arrows to you guys so folks can see what they would be winning.

Derek
