Video Contest

How would everyone feel about having a LSBA video contest this year? I could proably come up with a couple of token prizes. Maybe 2 groups. self filmed and single. We could post them in our gallery and figure out how to vote for the winners.

Buff,

It sounds like a good idea and I would be willing to participate. The only thing I would suggest is when making the rules to keep it simple. If it goes over good we could even show the videos at next years banquet.

1) the clips must be small enough to post on the site.
2) the clips must be made after sept 1 2007 ( this knocks out my Africa stuff)
3) only 2 divisions, self filmed and team filmed

5) entry fee is free ( thats about equal to the value of the prises)

We can just put up a poll and a link to everyone's video and let the members vote on which video they like best.

I guess I will have to get a digital video camera now. Hope my wife likes the idea as much as I do.

I like this idea, so I hope to have a video to enter this year.

- Rule 7: Must be filmed before ______ . ( I think we should have a cut-off date OR run it until the banquet and then announce the winner there)

our banquet is not until june.
7) videos must be made no sooner than Sept 1st
8) you must be a LSBA member to play
9) contest ends Jan 15th
10) voting closes Jan 20th

We have a fantistic prize for the self filmed division. John Shelly sent me this this morning. I won't be able to enter the LSBA video contest but I'll donate a 2 day hog hunt for one person in Feb '08 for the winner. Lodging included but not meals. Let me know if your interested. I can provide a certificate to award to the winner if needed.

All we need now is something for the 2 man division (or girl) for a prize and we are set.

Ronnie. it does not take a expensive camera. I bought the one I was using at Wal Mart. Just tell her it is to video your Grandsons

What is the other prize? Has that been decided yet?

I am going to create a catagory in the Video Gallery titled "LSBA Video Contest". Make sure you select this catagory when you are uploading your video.
