Default Son-In-Law done good

Our honorary Son- In-Law, Brandon told me a while back he had never killed any thing with his bow. I had him come out to Mason this weekend for the Buff under achievers boot camp for wayward kids. He had the pleasure of being in camp with 4 fiftyish year old men who have between them killed animals all over the world with their bows.I figured if He couldn't learn from this bunch then golf was a good alliterative. He stepped up big time with this nice 10 point taken from one of my hidy holes. A heck of a nice first deer. I was proud of him.

Just to prove he had learned my total lack of restraint, Brandon came rolling up with this massive Doe this afternoon. He makes me so proud

Well I'm not sure what an "honorary" SIL is but I want to be one!

Congrats to Brandon on the fine 10 pt and the doe.

I have been bowhunting since 86 and haven't killed my first whitetail yet so I know how he feels. Really nice buck! I have killed several hogs, a squirrel and a rabbit so I think all I need is an opportunity.

Thanks to all for the nice words.

I CAN NOT say thanks enough to Marty. He has a heart as big as this great state. I had a wonderful time.

I got both kills on video, so stay tuned for story and video to come.....

Congrats Brandon! Great taking to you today. Heck I don't remember you telling me that you had never shot anything with your bow. If I had known that I'd have tried harder last year to get you on a deer. Lets get together sometime soon...we have much catching up to do.
