Default New archery club

Here is what Drenalinejunkie and I have come up with. We'd like to here your feedback. For the most this will be the format. Minor changes are expected.

Dates and shoot rotation TBA at a later date pending range avalability.

BROKEN BOW
ARCHERY CLUB

MISSION STATEMENT: To promote the sport of archery thru fellowship and good sportsmanship while providing a positive learning experience to those new to the sport as well as experienced shooters.

FORMAT: This will not be a points accumulative league. This club will put traditional shooters, target shooters and hunters a all on the same level. No one type of shooter will have an advantage over another type/ style shooter. Age and experience will also not be a factor. The sole purpose of this club is to practice and hone your own archery skills, offer tips and assistance to other archers new to the sport and fellowship.

Season will consist of 8 shoots. Bi weekly starting in May and ending in August. Shoots will be held at Wood and Feather, Gander Mountain in Spring, Gander Mountain in Cypress and Bow Zone in Spring. Two shoots at each location.

Each shooter will shoot three 5 spot targets and three 3-D targets. Five shots at each target for a total of 60 shots.

MEMBERSHIP: Dues are $25 per shooter per season. Youth membership is $15 for shooters 15 years old and under. Membership fee will buy three 3-D targets for the club. (A membership pack is still in the works, but the pack would be worth as much if not more than the membership fee. More to come on that later)

DUES: Dues are $5 per shoot. This money will go into a pot. The pot will be used to buy a Gift Certificate. The Gift Certificate will be bought from the shoot location. One GC will be awarded for every 5 members. (ex. 5 members= $25 GC. 6 members= $30. 10 members= 2- $25 GC.) Gift Certificates will be awarded by a draw. Guests will be allowed to shoot one time with out paying membership fee. Guests will be allowed to enter GC drawing.

Any additional money will go into a kitty fund. At the end of the season, members names go into a drawing. The more shoots you attend, the more times your name goes into the hat. (ex. shoot all 8 events, you are entered 8 times. Shoot 3 events, you are entered 3 times) Depending on the end of year kitty amount will determine how many prizes will be awarded. Also, the three 3-D targets will be given away at the end of the season by a drawing. To be eligible for the end of season and the target drawing you must be a paid member. Members need not be present to win end of year prizes. 100% redistribution of funds will be awarded to club members at the end of the year.

That is correct. There is a lengthy thread thread on TBH.com that is really getting some positive feedback.
