The key is "sharp". You want that blade cutting stuff from the moment it enters to the moment it exits. Any severed vessel is a releaser of blood. The more blood loss, the quicker, the sooner you'll be loading the truck with your prize.
A blade that's not sharp enough will push these vessels out of the way as it passes without compromising them.
I like Zwickey and Ribtek for this. I can get both razor sharp and they mount very easily on my cedar shafts. An adapter and they're ready for screw in shafting as well.
I bummed a stinger off a guy and tried it. The head has a LOT of potential.
