The only thing I can see that could possibly be a problem is the length of the minute hand.....may be rubbing on the wood. Hard to tell just looking at the pic. I sure don't see anything else.

"Protecting" instead of "promoting" Is this correct? Clock still looks good.

Yep, Bob and Axis you are both right. I noticed it this morning and could have kicked myself for not double checking the wording. There really isn't a way to fix it now...........

.....but let me see what I can do short of stripping it all the way down and starting over.
