I used what was there for cover or stands. I've never hunted from a popup blind, and all of the stands I have are meant for the trees in East Tx. If I'm not hunting from a treestand, I've always liked to make a brush blind to hunt from. Something that uses the natural cover, especially if I plan on using it the same day. I was in such a setup Saturday morning when I had that doe at 10 yards. Just forgot to check my blind for drawing my bow and it cost me that morning.
My camera is an older Panasonic that takes the mini DVC cassettes. It only has a filming time of 60 minutes. I bought one of those flexable tripods for it so I could wrap the legs around branches and stuff to set it up. The only problem I've found is when you are by yourself if the deer don't come where you aim the camera it's hard to move it for a shot. Now in a blind, you would have more freedom to move it some. I'm just getting into doing some filming, might have to upgrade my equipment, if the Boss lets me......
