Default racing with pigs

I really didn't intend to shoot a Hog this morning but when 6 of them showed up, well you know how I act. So when the biggest boar of the bunch turned broads side, I drew my 66# Widow and tried to bare down on him. I let the string slip away and watched as the arrow smacked the pig too high and too far back. At the shot the Boar hit the ground but was back on his feet in a second and headed up the hill. I felt sure, as far back as I hit him I would never find him. I grabbed an arrow from my quiver and took off in a dead run after him. I guess my shot had damaged his steering box because he could run well but his steering was messed up and he kept running into stuff and falling down. After a 100 yard dash up the hill I had closed to about 10 yards when he stumbled, spun around and just set down, I throwed on my breaks and was about 6 steps from him. When our eyes first meet he had a look of fear. a split second later I saw his ears lay back. I hollered #@!% as I saw in his eyes, he was coming. Sure enough he came at me popping his teeth. I broke and ran back down the hill him right behind me. He was a little faster than me but not as agile , when I side stepped a clump of cactus he crashed into it and flipped over. When he went tumbling by I stuck him with my second arrow. He regained his feet and we made another 50 yard dash back up the hill. I turned to loop back down the hill in hopes of picking up my arrow as at this point I was out of bullets. At the turn he fell over some rocks and was never able to regain his feet. I would not even try to guess how many hogs I have killed with my bow. This was the first one that has ever tried to get me. I have the shot on video but not the chase. I wish Chunky would have been videoing for me as I'm sure we were quite a sight crashing down the side of the hill threw the brush.

Now that is what I like to hear. It isn't much fun if after the first shot he would have fell over... Congrats.
