Default Went to Buffs Big Oak Bowhunting this past weekend

I hit the road about 2:00 pm Friday headed for Buffs place. I made it to Ore City at 6:00 pm and got checked into my motel at the marina. I got my bow out and waxed the strings and checked it over good just to be safe. I broke out my arrows and put the Slick Tricks on them them put them back in the quiver. I layed down and tried to go to sleep about 9:00 but it wasnt working. Every time I shut my eyes all I could see was the picture of that Red Stag on Buffs website. I turned on the tv and watched folks hunt dangerous game in Africa until I finally went to sleep. It felt like no sooner than I got to sleep the duck hunters started showing up at the marina to be first on the water for the best islands. Marty showed up at about 5:40 and we headed for the ranch. The weather was a little crappy. It was cloudy cold and rainy but I didnt care I was excited. Well we hung around the cabin that is under contruction for a little bit then headed for the woods. Marty put me in a tower blind were the Red Stag had been hanging around. When we got there we saw an awesome White Fallow deer. I crawled up in the blind while Marty scattered a couple flakes of alfalfa. Marty left and the Sika deer and Fallow deer crammed into the area. It was to dark to take pictures without a flash so I went about setting everything up. I got settled in and just picked my phone up when I saw a couple of the smaller Red Stag coming in with a bunch of doe. Not long after that big boy came stomping in. Even before I saw his horns I knew he was the boss by the way he came stomping in acting like he owned the place. Well he came in and was broadside for a minute but while trying to get the window open i bumped the wall and he boogered a little. He made a loop around the feeder and came back. He was standing broadside facing to my left. I have to admit that at this point I did have a touch of buck fever going on. I came to full draw and made sure I was anchored in the right spot, I made sure my sight housing was centered in my peep and I put my 20 yard pin tight behind his shoulder. I was breathing a little faster than I wanted so I let down and repeated the process but added a deep breath as I was settling my pin on him. I let out half of it then held my breath and squeezed the release trigger. There was no doubt in my mind I had made a good shot until the Stag circled around behind me and just stood there looking at me like he was saying"Is that all you got?" I couldnt believe he was still on his feet and I was starting to doubt my shot placement. His vital area was hidden behind a tree so I couldnt see the pink bubbles coming out of the hole until he stepped forward. He took about 4 more steps and stopped quartering toward me. I set my 30 yard pin on the point of his shoulder and let another arrow fly. He took off straight away but only went about 30 yards then he piled up.

Thanks and yes they are. The first shot was a double lung pass through and he took and just stood there looking at me.
