I have been a member for awhile, but have not posted. I have been on another bowhunting forum for a period of time....but I don't think I fit in over there. Maybe I will have better luck here. I live out in the woods south of Caddo Mills in Hunt county. I have been bowhunting about two years and have not yet taken an animal. I have been hunting all my life...but bowhunting is new to me. Hunting deer down back of my house is what I do most. I take a trip to Arkansas once a year and hunt deer with a good friend of mine, and a trip to Cotulla once a year to hunt quail with another friend. I hunt for rattlesnakes whenever I can. I'm not as young as I used to be, so the hard hunting trips get further apart.
Tomorrow I will be putting my bow in the shop to get the poundage lowered. My old shoulders just can't pull back 67 pounds that many times to practice. I will have new brighter, sight-pins installed. The old eyes are having trouble seeing the pins. Other than that.....LIFE IS GOOD.

In the woods,
