Default TPWD Outdoor Fools Day

Here's a few pictures of our archery range at last year's Expo in Austin. The Outdoor Fools Day event is billed as a Mini-Expo.

Bob,

I'll drive over to Athens on Sat morning, the wife was going to come along, but she ended up having to proctor a test on Sat at UTA. I will need some directions to where we are going and what time you need us there.

I have three campsites reserved as of now. You can't reserve a specific campsite in advance. You pick out your campsite when you get there. I plan to get there early enough Friday to get all our sites in a group.

Here's a link to the Outdoor Fools Day web page. I hate to admit it, but I've never been to Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) so can't give directions.

Here's a link for directions to TFFC.

Here's a link to the Purtis Creek State Park page.

Hope this helps.

I probably won't get there till after work Fri. I'd like to have a campsite for my truck and trailer so I don't have to park far away. A truck and a trailer are considered the 2 vehicles allowed for the camp fee.

Ask them about this while you're there.

Go to the TPWD website and voice your displeasure.

Here are some pictures from Outdoor Fools Day. Thanks to all the volunteers that came out to help introduce Outdoor Fools Day visitors to archery, Bowhunter Education and the abilities of blood trailing dogs. We had a great time and it was good to see old friends and meet some new friends too.

TPWD was impressed with our efforts ang got a lot of positive comments about the LSBA fro the public. I believe we made a difference with people that have never had exposure to bowhunters and bowhunting except through the media.

The campout was great! We had three campsites reserved and a bunch of us camped out. Unfortunately, most of the pictures I took of the the campout didn't turn out.
