It's a trophy for killing a pig with traditional bow at Grunts and Gobbles.

That was a trophy for whomever was able to kill a pig with trad gear. It has been around for a long time. I don't think anyone ever won it, but I could be wrong. Tomme would know more about that than me. Would be great to see it come around again.

Problem was, when we started vying for that cursed thing, we stopped seeing pigs!

I talked to Tomme about it and he said that the pig is currently at the ranch. He said he got tired of bringing it back and forth every year so he just left it there last year. Most of the names have probably faded away, but we can always add new ones.
I think there was a $5 fee to sign the pig and to participate to try to win it.

So its trad gear only? I may need to grab a recurve and get to practicing for next year.

Yeah. It was originally about a half dozen of us doing an informal competition. Then others wanted in. Shoot, even Tomme showed up with a 1960s model Black Widow recurve and proceeded to miss the only two hogs the trad guys saw that weekend. lol
