Here is the story. I got into my stand about 3:00 pm yesterday. The wind was blowing pretty hard but I was hoping that it would die down before dark. Sure enough about 45 minutes before dark the wind died down. at 5:15 I had a nice size doe come walking in. This doe had busted me every time I sat in that stand. But this time she didnt know I was there until it was to late. I came to full draw with My Elite Fire and settled my 30 yard pin tight behind her shoulder and squeezed the release. The arrow hit her just a little high as she tried to duck it. I guess she ducked and sucked back at the same time because the Rage blew through her shoulder and she took off. I knew the shot was a little high so I waited 45 minutes before I started to look for her. By the time I started looking it was real dark down in the creek so I found blood did a quick scan of the area marked the spot and slipped out. I went back this morning to find her. I walked to the spot I had marked the first blood and just looked around. 25 yards from were I stood I saw her laying in the creek. I guess The reason I didnt see her last night is because she was in the creek. Anyway I drug her out of the creek and took some pictures. This has been an outstanding season for me so far. It started with an Elk in Colorado then a bobcat here at home then a nice 11 point Llano County buck and now a doe here at home all with a bow.
